
When Pa was diagnosed with end-stage cancer in 1998, our goal was to pamper him and ensure that he could still enjoy a high quality of life.
As you can imagine, nutrition was of utmost importance at that time. To satisfy Pa's discerning taste buds Dominique took pleasure in preparing the most wholesome and tasty dishes that made Pa look forward to his mealtimes. These were precious and memorable moments that we shall always treasure... 

Chez Papa French Bistro was established in May of 1999 and was given this name in memory and honour of our dearest Pa. We are Johor Bahru's premier French restaurant and our mission is to provide our customers with good and wholesome meals, friendly and warm service in a cozy and comfortable setting. We continuously strive to achieve this.
Dominique was born in Colmar, France and trained as a Chef in Nice. He has been around the world, working at Le Souffle in London and Maxim de Paris in Singapore among others. I, Shereen, am from this quaint little city, Johor Bahru, but spent eight years of my life in Honolulu, Hawaii studying and working in food and hospitality industry.
